Engine vibrations at 2000rpm

Hey guys,

I'm getting close to half a million kilometres in my LS430 and I want her to see 1 million, so I'm continuing proper maintenance and listening closely for potential issues.

I'm not very into engines so please excuse my lack of knowledge in that area when I say I have noticed an 'unbalanced' rough firing that starts and ends around 1,800-2,200 rpm.
It happens cold and warm, any fuel type, at any point in the life of the oil, summer or winter, AC on or off, in gear or neutral.

What's the likely cause?
Is it normal?
How can it be avoided and is it viable to do so?

Have you checked the engine mounts?

Possible suspects
1. Mass Airflow Sensor (remove clean/replace if necessary)
2. Fuel pressure pulsation dampers (one or both faulty)
