2005 UL Door Lock Intermittent Operation
Has anyone experience inoperative unlocking of the door when using the door sensor? I try to only drive the my car on the weekend, I had not driven it in about two weeks. So when I finally got to drive it I walk up to the door stick my hand behind the handle and nothing The locks didn't unlock and when it did it was very slow and no beep. So I lock it and tried it again and same thing, this time the locks kept cycling while my hand was behind the handle. No I noticed the passenger doors won't unlock. I have mine set for all doors to unlock when the driver door unlocks. That can't be the remote battery could it? Any way it works intermittently and now sometimes when I try to unlock all the doors from the switch it doesn't work?
Anyone experience this? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for responses and suggestions.

There is a youtube video or the R&R of the door actuator. My driver's side door just quit working a week ago. I ordered a 4 pack of the actuators from amazon for $27. Figured one gone, the rest are sure to be coming too. Will get to it in the next couple weeks. Lexus wants an insane amount for the actuator. The motor replacement is the $5 workaround.
I have the UL as well and apparently there is a tiny bit more to remove on the door lock because of the soft close doors, but we'll see when i get in there how much extra work there is.

Hey guys need some help. I am going to fix my door lock "not working" problem. What I narrowed it down to is the door lock actuator. But for the Easy Close door, which is what I have, there are two listed.
First part number is :
Part DescriptionLock Assy, Front Door, RHW(EASY CLOSER)
Price ~ $130.16
Second part number is :
Part DescriptionActuator Assy, Front Door Lock, LH
Price ~ $724.80
Does anyone know which one of these I need? The problem is the door will not lock or unlock with the remote or the lock/unlock button on the driver/passenger doors. What this causes is the when I lock/unlock the door the lights don't flash nor the do I hear a beep. Has anyone ran into this with the soft close doors? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or inputs.

I have the soft close assembly you can remove it and replace the door lock actuator motor it a little different compared to the non soft close assembly you just need to remove the bolts on the case and cut the glue between the case and you will be able to swap them out amazon has a 4 pack of motors for 27$

soft close door is quite easy once you get it out. $7 actuator from amazon and you're done. Bit of a PITA to get it out and the main harness will not come off as it's got some sort of glue on it holding it to the assembly. I just put it on a pail outside the door and removed the screws and a few bolts and then swapped out the motor. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, then go for it. If you are scared to take the door panel off, then don't bother and get a shop to do it.
