I was wondering if there is an option or a way to be able to have the horn sound or beep when a 2005 Lexus LS430 is locked using the remote or button on the handle.

Right now when I lock it, the lights flash but, there is no sound. I would love it to beep once or twice when it is locked. It would also be nice to have it beep when I unlock it using the remote so, I can remember where I parked it.

Tried to do several searches before posting this. I may not have been using he correct search terms.

Try to turn the **** under the dash mine makes sounds when I unlock and lock the car

It's a customizeable feature that a Lexus dealer can change. A previous owner must have had the beep turned off. IIRC, there are several loudness settings for the beep.

There is no option to have the horn sound - thank goodness! - only a beep can be activated.

That was it. It now makes a beep sound when I lock it. I looked through the manual and must have missed that the **** is even there.

Glad to hear that helped you out that **** is weird I thought it was for the chime when you leave the door open
