Default A/C Temp

So this weekend its already hotter than !@#$ in ATlanta. 98 today so i had a temp sensor laying around so i put in my vent. I was getting a between 46 and 50 out the air vents. 46 if i ran on high and around 50 if i ran the fan speed at low setting. Needless to say mine is working great!

Agree. The AC power to cool in the LS430 is the best I have ever had in a car.

That’s pretty impressive! I didn’t know it got that cold.

The additional rear A/C system in the UL is especially appreciated in the Phoenix area. Really helps in cooling down an interior that reaches 150F while sitting in the AZ sun. This is a feature that is overlooked in cooler parts of the country.

Agreed! I was just saying this to my wife about our '03 LS430 and how amazing the A/C system is compared to other vehicles.

One interesting selling point back when cross shopping vehicles with the LS was during a conversation with an Acura sales person highlighting the "BTU's" out of the Acura RL were the highest in its class. At the time, I was impressed!

Anyone have any data or information regarding BTU's on the LS430?

I had a couple of late 90s Acura RLs before my LS and the aircon on those was asthmatic at best.
Merc S320CDI aircon was also good but the LS beats them all.
Luckily it rarely gets silly hot here in the UK.

I can't remember if it was @jayclapp or @bradland who mentioned it, but I haven't moved my temp from 76* since I bought the car, just right in the Winter, and so far so good in the Summer.
