I don't know what's involved with replacing a door, but as mentioned, it made me think of my first car, where the lower part of the left doors was actually gone from rust. And being a kid I didn't know how to do the job so I wanted the salvage guy to do it, which he did....

If you can DIY the door, I think $370 is fine...and even if you don't like it, you can always put the old one back...maybe even work on it from the inside, off the car....

I have the same thing it just showing up , I spray fluid film behind the chrome hopefully it's slowing down .

Before buying a used door, remove the door panel first so you can look inside and see if there is any rust starting where the trim is attached to the door. If it's clean this is the route I would take...

Bumping my old thread as I never did take any action and my rust is getting worse. I just had a body shop quote replacing the door skin, painting it, and blending that side of the car and it was $3479. Obviously not going that route. This is killing me as mechanically the car is excellent. Interestingly, I recently had the driver's door inner panel off to replace the door lock actuator and that door was spotless inside so this problem seems to be totally random. Anyone else get this fixed for a reasonable price?
