Question Replace or soften gas pedal?

The ls430 has a pretty stiff pedal. I'd like to make it more sensitive or softer so it doesn't take so much work to use. Is it possible to change the spring out with a softer one, or is there an aftermarket replacement?

My understanding is it's an electronic device, not a linkage to the engine i.e. cable to the throttle body. That device provides information to the vehicles' other systems, not sure if adding tension would work.

It's more about the pressure coming from the spring not so much the electronic transmitter.

Not sure if anything can be changed on it, but there are some Japanese companies that sell Throttle Controllers for DBW vehicles that allow you to change the sensitivity of the pedal. Maybe that could help?

Yes, the LS throttle and shifter are both not mechanically connected to the engine/transmission. I dont know how effective adjusting the springs to be less tight would make the pedal more responsive. I would think softening it might make it more herky jerky
