.. the navigation has Canadian maps , it had a bunch of address in memory from Toronto Canada, it works fine in US and Canada .

Oh, thanks a lot for all that information and documentation!

It was my understanding (from posts on this forum) that the 01-03 LS430 came with Gen. 2/3 navigation for which there were no Canadian maps and correspondingly no need for navigation in the car. So what may have happened?

Perhaps maps were updated? Or perhaps the Gen. 4 navigation was introduced in Canada on the 03 models? Any information of that in your documentation?

The Toyota/Lexus navigation generations were not introduced uniformly around the globe. As far as I know, in Europe also the 04-06 LS430 came with Gen. 2/3 navigation.

And that hot-water tubing on the windshield - never saw that before! Is that a Canada-only feature?

As you can see the Navigation user manual was printed in 2002 and Canada I'll post few pictures . As far as the tubing on the windshield I never see that so the glass shop, we called the dealer around and they were in the clouds as well for sure it's Canada models only .

I really like the look without NAV. Plus, it's essentially obsolete now.
Got on Lexus Driver site input the vin of my car witch it's 100% built for Canada , got just limited information like exterior color , model , body type , transmission and date of first use .No specification of county was made for or port of entry .
