Default NEED HELP: Center vent motor

so i tried searching the forums but didn't find much about this topic, maybe because i don't know what the proper name for this part is?
I'm looking to fix/replace the motor that is on the center vent that makes the vents swing from left to right
I opened it up yesterday and there really isn't a Toyota part# on it so i couldn't find it on the web...
the only thing about it i was able to find is what looks like the website of the manufacturer of these things, and it's in Korea so not sure if they sell them individually...

https://moatechco.en.ec21.com/Steppi...27_414140.html

these little buggers are mounted underneath the 2 box looking covers on the bottom of the vents

I don't really want to buy the whole vent assembly off ebay....

Are you saying both motors died exactly at the same time? That seems very coincidental. At least one of them should work for at least a short amount of time before dying like the first one. If they both stopped working at the exact same time, the motors might not be the problem. In case you can't change the motors, the part number for the entire assembly is 55660-50110.

To inspect the intelligent swing register circuit, see attached pic.

I went and measured the resistance at the register plug, it read 292-293 everywhere but pin #10 which read at 288. Am I correct in assuming that this is still within normal range?

Default Any luck?

I too would like to find a motor for the center vents. One of mine is def. a bad motor. Has anyone had any luck finding the little guys? It looks like an itty bitty step motor. Kinda silly but the HVAC system on the LS is quite impressive, it's the only part of my car that does not work. I'd like to fix it for that reason alone. Kinda drives me nuts till I repair it.

where did you get a brand new assembly for $150? On most places it’s like 400-500.
