Default Plugs and coils for 05 LS

Hi folks,

Time to change plugs; wires and coils in my 05 LS. Any suggestions for suppliers other than OEM ? Thanks!

Don't try and save a buck and use aftermarket junk, you'll regret it in the end. I'm curious as to why you are going to replace the coils? Unless you have a specific failure, just do the plugs and be done with it.

Maybe OP has a $500 gift card he needs to use up?

There are no (spark plug) "wires" in an LS430.

Unless you have trouble codes then replacing COP igniters should not be necessary...

As to spark plugs, OEM supplier NGK now offers a "Ruthenium" spark plug which offers significant advantages over the stock "Iridium".

See;

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-1st-and-2nd-gen-1990-2000/904773-ngk-ruthenium-hx-spark-plugs.html

As you are experiencing challenges over removing the 10mm coil pack bolt, are you comfortable with changing spark plugs and have necessary tools, such as torque wrench (torque specs necessary) ?
