10" Android screen for LS430
 

Hi all ,

There is a Chinese Android screen for Ls430 with AC controlling , the good thing is that no cut wires on factory connections .




Anyone has fit it by himself to know connections ???

There is a fairly long thread running on this right now, just scroll down in the active topics, the thread title starts with How To. The other thread may be from another company but the goal is the same.
For my 05 UL I just used Velcro. Open door of CD changer put a little Velcro near the front edge. Put a small square of Velcro on the hazard flasher button. Put the soft fuzzy side on the tablet. 1/2" square pieces are enough, in fact a 1/4" wide strip is all you need on the edge.

Works well. Just push harder on the tablet to turn on the 4 ways in a hurry. It's nice because when the tablet is not there the only evidence is the little square of Velcro on the hazard button. The spring in the hazard button is stiff enough to use the touch screen without turning on the flashers.

I've been testing this setup for a couple weeks now, I'm ready to add the bluetooth module. I'm using an FM modulator now. It messes with my FM reception.

They seem to have got the dates wrong (says 2006-2008) when the part shown is for a 2004-2006 with Navigation.
It'd be interesting to see what it ships with in terms of connectors and adapters to hook up with the audio system/climate control/etc.
A shot of the back or of what is actually shipped always helps.

I checked out the "How To" thread but did not find any Android screen replacement discussion. Could you provide a link to the thread you have in mind?

He is going a different direction. I do like the idea o replacing the screen entirely. I'll follow along. If this works as advertised it may be an excellent option for our old technology.

still, under $400 i think it's a pretty good deal, assuming that it's a plug-n-play setup

so my question to you guys would be is what is the difference in the Android 7.1 quad core and Android 8.1 octa core units? is it worth the extra $20 in difference?

looks like it should be able to get mobile data,per #3, #18 & #21?

Also looks like it supports external HDD (#5 & #6) so that would be pretty cool to stick a slim USB SDD in the glove box and you can have all kinds of things on it, music, vids, whatever
