I still haven't addressed it but I'm almost certain it's the clock spring. Mine only beeps for the first 4 or 5 minutes of a trip then stops. I've considered one of the Chinese made $30 clock springs on eBay or maybe getting a used one from a salvage yard...

have the same issue....with the climate button / audio / option button being randomly useable as well as the intermittent beep....was this ever resolved? steering wheel controls work fine.
