Landau topped LS430
At Costco today and I spied this little gem. Never seen a Landau style top on a LS430 before. Ugh... hate seeing nice things ruined with poor taste. I didn't look to see if the sunroof was cut out or not, but you can see the great fit around the antenna...

Maybe it's an inexpensive way to fix a leaky moon roof? or to cover up faded paint?

come to Boca Raton, FL they are all over the place. Not sure who would pay extra for such a thing but people do it all the time. Plenty even the newer LS460's! My local dealer sold them new like that in the showroom called them "premiere editions"
Here's one for sale now:

Ouch to my eyes.
A buddy bought a Caddy that had one of these conversions. He had plans thinking the low price for this was one of the reasons. When removed it was rusted and the installer didn't get a very good seal so water pooled at various places causing more rust areas. Good thing he was handy welding but the extra work that had to go into it was .

There is one locally like that for sale for at least a year, probably longer...

Not for me, but not "hideous," seriously. It made me think of a car I like, the 1979 Ford Thunderbird Heritage edition. See it on the show, "CHiPs." (that car has a 27 gal fuel tank and a 302 V8, not sure but seems like it must have gotten poor fuel economy)
p.s. what's with Costco and members never returning their carts? Should start revoking memberships permanently for that. Let's see what happens when the free samples for lunch gets taken away.

That's why I always park all the way in the back and walk up, no matter which Lexus I'm driving.

me as well park as far away as possible, doesn't matter which car I have including rental cars.
in the pic it even mentions carts....at my gym, I am this close to speaking up. tired of people not wiping machines, or parking in spaces where it says reserved for parents with children. This am I pointed at the sign where a woman (no kids, no car seats) was getting out of her car, and I saw a woman washing her hands at a drinking fountain. Oh the indignity!
The one I love is where we're in a footrace with someone, and if you let that person beat you, the slow down to a snail's pace!

Argh...that is eye searingly tacky. The intersection of very bad taste and relatively high income.

When I was a kid I liked Caddys, and even today, I like early 90's Fleetwoods and Buick Roadmasters. I can't even remember if those had coach lamps anymore, I thought they may have had electroluminescent ones. They should have added them to the LS' top....or maybe a special B-pillar insert.
