Where the factory mandrel bent the piping, it had crimps? And I saw rust begin probably 5-6 mos. after installation. These parts are clearly mfg'd for the Three Stooges of the world (Manny Moe and Pepé) where shops mark up the job and make margin with these vs. factory parts...I don't consider my LS junk, and wouldn't want such parts installed on the vehicle (though I get the dealer price is not good either)...tough call
I would only use Walker if there was absolutely no other option. Its cheap aluminized crush bent junk that I guarantee will need replacement in a few years anyway due to rust. There is nothing special about a Y pipe other than the material and how it was bent(mandrel vs crush) any decent muffler/exhaust shop should be able to make you one, that will last longer and likely be a lot cheaper than the Walker part.
