changing head light to led
 
Hello there,

my car is LS 430 2005 and i have one head light bulb burned out and i decided to change it to LED, so please advise me with the bulb type and the required wires or connectors name.

It's not worth the hassle and light output decrease IMO. Just purchase a set of 5500k HIDs and you'll get factory performance with a nice color.

the stock one is expensive, do u know aftermaket one with good performance?

An addition to the thread rkw posted above, check out theretrofitsource.com for bulbs. I've purchased their products for many projects and I'm pleased with their quality.

thanks for ur help but one more question what about the high beam i wanna change it to white instead of stock orange what do u suggest?

Sorry but it dosent mention the any thing about the high beam, could u tell me for which type of bulb i should look for and which type of connector or plug so i could do the research and buy it.

As discussed on that link, the high beam light bulb uses the 9005 socket type. The link mentioned that when low beam (D2S) is off, the LS430 sends reduced power to the high beam (9005) so they function as DRL (Daylight Running Light). When the low beam (D2S) is on, the "Clearance" bulbs (194) function as DRL.

I personally think it should be against the law to change headlamps to be brighter than the OEM that the car came with from the factory. I have seen too many headlamps that are actually blinding in bright daylight. What for? It's like the driver is screaming "look at me, I'm an idiot and could care less about anyone else"!

Im running 4 DDM TUNING HIDS 80$ headlights and fog lights are bright white and i deleted the day running lights
