New to the forum and not mechanical. I am however, a LS430 fanatic. My 01 LS430 was just crushed by a tree during a storm. The wife cheered, I cried. I spent 2 weeks attempting to convince her
why I was getting an 04 versus buying a newer model (money being the obvious factor and NO car payment) No luck convincing her so it was, "well, sorry you do not the support the decision but
I have locate the vehicle I am purchasing.
2004 Charcoal grey, 1 owner, Lexus serviced from day 1 and in mint condition. My dream color. I could go on and on, however I digress. this car is awesome mechanically and looks wise
however it really rides like a boat. It does NOT have air suspension and clearly the struts are shot. My question is: Do I need to replace the springs when doing the struts? I found the KYB
struts to buy and just want to make sure I have everything replaced that should be to restore the ride I had on my 2001. It had 276k miles and still road like a dream. My new LS floats all over the darn
place.
Sorry got your ‘01 loss. What mileage does the ‘04 have and have you measured the ride height to determine if there is any indication that the spring(s) are sagging?
