I'm sure most LS Owners are aware of pressing down the unlock button on the fob and holding it without releasing it lowers all the windows down ,then opens the sunroof , My Question is how can you raise the windows back up and close the sunroof ? Is it possible at all

 

Insert key into driver door lock cylinder, turn to the lock position and hold, after 1.5 seconds sunroof and all windows will close. Holding in the unlock position for >1.5 seconds lowers the windows and opens the sunroof.

The transmitter-linked close function was only available in pre-2002.8 LS vehicles with European ECU firmware, which may even include European LS400s. Pre-2002.8 Australian firmware never had this function, and I don't think any post-2002.8 LS430s (US/CAN/Japan, Australian, European, or GCC-countries) have the transmitter-close function.

Nothing in my Canadian CBEST ECU settings to enable this either. Perhaps people with European, GCC, Australian, and Japan ECUs can check their CBEST settings to confirm that it was a hard-coded change after 2002.8. On most/all transmitters now, holding the lock button activates the alarm instead of closing the windows.

 

Stan Van Dam , ok thank you for the reply ,so there is no way to raise the windows back up and close the sunroof with the fob? you have to physically get in the car and put the key in to close everything

 

I'm pretty sure you can roll all the windows up with the key in the driver side door. Hold unlock and they lower, hold lock and they raise.
