Electrical Connectors - Drawing and Part Numbers
After years of service (in some cases under extreme heat in the engine bay), the electrical connectors in our LS430 are getting brittle and are often crumbled during routine maintenance. Attached are sets the drawings identifying connector numbers and their associated part numbers. Most of these connectors are available on Amazon, ebay, or your local Toyota/Lexus dealership. Many are offered by aftermarket vendors.

When you R/R your Alternator it’s handy to have a replacement G2 connector # 90980-11349. The retention tab cracks/ disintegrates from the heat and 15 years of life. If the retaining tab breaks the connector backs out of the alternator and you will being motoring on battery for very short length of time. It isn’t easy to replace in a garage. It will strand you on the road if ignored when reinstalling a new alternator if tab is broken. Toyota dealer has this item. Just show them the Illustrated parts call out included in above posting attachment and describe the part. Toyota 3UZ’s I believe use the same part.
