Wanted to share a beautiful photo of the LS430.
I searched the internet archives for the Lexus website from 2006 and went to the LS page. I don't think its in any brochure I've viewed. Only if car companies would showcase their cars with such beautiful photos nowadays.

To put it in context, by late 2005, this was a very unpopular vehicle, so I wonder who the marketing firm was that came up with, "Reverse sensory deprivation." Again I know this because I attended a Lexus event in July 2005 at Belmont Raceway, and about 0 people wanted to drive the LS430, so I took 2 turns at once. The IS was very popular as was the SC. But the star of the show was the 2006 BMW 330i sedan that they brought. Massive line to drive it.

That is an interesting ad, especially relative to the U.S. market. It's hard to tell, but it appears that the car is displaying sport suspension badging. Nothing unusual about that. What is extraordinary though is the clearly displayed headlight washer. So far as is known, such a combination was never available in the U.S.

Can CL's or UL's not have a sport suspension? As I remember the brochure for '06, they had cars with sport suspensions depicted...also the theme seemed to be so "California." Maybe it was a Torrance CA thing. Prolly a lot more Dallas today.

Would love for someone to chime in with evidence of a U.S. spec Custom Luxury with sport suspension.

Due to their air suspensions, Ultra Luxury models obviously cannot have the sport suspension option. I have a copy of the '06 brochure, Yup, lots of photos of sport suspension cars, none showing headlight washers. The photos were shot in Napa, California, wine country.

Also, the UL suspension is programmed to lower the height of the car at higher speeds, which reduces the drag CD of the car, providing more stability and improving gas mileage.
Just saying.
