Default Finally fixed the OEM rear wheel spacing and exhaust tips

Since I bought my LS, there have always been two things that bugged me: how far inward the rear wheels sit, and the tiny stock dual exhaust tips. Today I finally fixed that with some 20 cm spacers in the rear and 4 inch Flowmaster tips. It’s subtle enough where the average person wouldn’t recognize anything standing out, but to me it gave the car a much more aggressive and modern rear end, IMO.

Tips look great. I'd throw a simple license plate frame on the back to clean things up, then I think you would have perfection. It's funny, I always hated gold and when I was looking for my LS430, I was ok with pretty much any color BUT gold. However, looking at yours... it looks pretty sharp!

You mind sharing where you got the tips from and what spacers you went with? Also, were the spacers bolt on or slip on?

Thanks! Oh, hit your chrome bumper trim with some polish and it will shine right up!

Thank you! I bought the wheel spacers on eBay. You need 60.1mm hub bore spacers. Make sure you get the hub centric spacers! Otherwise all that extra leverage is placed solely on the lug studs, plus it makes sure your wheel is mounted perfectly straight.

The exhaust tips were bought on Amazon.
Here is the link Here is the link
. It says they’re 4.5 inches but that is wrong! They are actually 4 inches. I knew this beforehand after doing some research, and I picked 4 inch tips purposely. For my goals 4.5 would have been too big I think. I also painted the inside of the tips black. It looked way too flashy when the insides were chromed out too.

I told myself I was done adding anything to Old Man Tan but I was was thinking about getting a license plate frame too! What do you think? One of those polished silver ones that says LEXUS on it?

I put https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-Logo-...EAAOSw42dZGmQl on my LS430 and on my GX460, nice and subtle.

Car looks great. If you go for new bumper trim it will really make the car pop! It's just 3M double backing tape and can also be gotten on Rock Auto. Enjoy!

Agreed. The "extra leverage", as you put it, will amplify any road imperfections and give you a shakier ride.

If you are going to go with a black license plate frame, need to go almost all the way.....

That color combo looks great on that car! Not sure how the dark badges would look on mine though. I think I need a stainless steel/chrome one, but I’m afraid the cheap ones are gonna rust or corrode.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m obviously willing to spend more than the $10 the cheap ones seem to cost to make sure it lasts

Just go to google and search for "lexus license plate frame" and you'll find frames up to $40. Should be able to find one you like.

The badges are; done right on the car.... The chrome strip above the plate is a vinyl tape.

Put these on the wife's 460.....

A bit pricey... and, the 3D Lexus has a weird gold like sheen that took a while to get used to.....
