Default Introduction - My New 05 LS430

Hello all - just wanted to introduce myself:

My name is Yann, I recently moved from the Uk to the USA and I just recently became the proud new owner of a 2005 LS430 (custom luxury package) with 180K miles. Color is white with with tan interior. It has the Nav and the laser cruise. It was a two owner car - the last owner having it for the last 11 years here in Georgia. It has a full service history at Hennesey Lexus dealership with a clean carfax. Interior and Exterior are both very clean for its age and (high)mileage.

After searching for one of these for a while never thought I would end up buying one from a dealership. However, this one came up near me and had to see it. Turns out it was very clean, within my budget and would be the perfect daily cruiser that I was looking for.
The only problems that I could find were; blown bonnet struts, damaged/small tear in the center console arm rest, mirrors dont move up or down that easily when being adjusted and only came with 1 key.

The dealer and I emailed back and forth and we finally came to an agreement, I then I went to purchase the car on saturday. Upon my arrival I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the salesman had actually cut 2 more keys for me ( free of charge), had done an oil and filter change and thoroughly cleaned the car inside and out.

Last but not least, as it started to rain that day, the salesman gave my wife and I a genuine Lexus umbrella ( which is massive!) and I drove home with the car with a huge smile on my face!

I cant wait to start working on it! I have always worked on my cars and bikes and look forward to making this LS430 mine!

For those who are interested here are a few of my previous cars and bikes owned back in the Uk:

Nissan S14a 200sx:

My GS300:

My gsxr and Z1000:

Thanks for reading!

Yann

Nice ride you've got there Yann! Did you have any problem acclimating yourself to driving on the correct side of the road when you got here?

I was wondering the same thing! I suppose it would take a little getting used to. I've driven in the UK on 2 different vacations and it ain't easy to switch...

Did I see two different colors on the driver side rear door and the quarter panel?

Thanks for your build thread liink, I had already seen it and its given me some ideas !

@Gronemus - Long story short I was born in france, so learned to drive on the "correct side" of the road., and still have some family there, I also drove in the Uk for 16 years...so the transition was pretty easy for me

@dashan - Maybe the lighting ? I didnt notice any diference in the sun yesterday!

Thanks for the welcome! My first job is going to change my serpentine belt! seems like an easy job after searching on google!

One mod I would highly recomend everyone even people who keep there cars stock is the FIGS LCA bushing and bracket, it really helps with tire wear that an aligment can not do.
