ALTERNATOR--post year & miles ONLY if you're on the original alternator!
Not looking for a whole lot of chit-chat or sidebar discussions. Just wondering what what year & mileage you have if you know you're on the ORIGINAL (meaning when car was brand new, not new to you) alternator.
My alternator is a 2005 with 151k miles.

Again, this is one of those things, once replaced, the replacement likely is nothing like the original. My Maxima has a 20 y.o. alternator with 260k. Not likely a replacement would last another 20 yrs imho....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Pole Position
2000 ML-ish spec, imported to NZ from Singapore in 2005, put on road in 2008, currently at 142,000 miles on OE alternator. Will be wiring in additional electrical equipment so there will be more load on it, and it will be getting spun quite hard with my chosen hobby

01 with 134,000. Alternators on our cars very rarely need replacement. They are quite robust.
