All started with a faint gasoline smell coming through the ventilation system at times, eventually the smell became so strong that I could barely drive with all the windows open but I managed to make it home and then while idling I look under the hood to see gas pooling up out of the fuel pressure damper...had it towed off and getting a damper put in.
Wonder if this is all related to the minor accident I had with it a few months ago...because within about 2 months I had a transmission fail on me and now this....and when they removed that original tranny they found that the transmission mount had been busted so the tranny was hanging on by a thread to the car for who knows how long...so I imagine those mounts prevent the tranny for moving around too much.
Has anyone else had any front end damage that led to mechanical problems?
