Default PO 420 Error code: what's the fix?

This is an exhaust type error I believe with the Catalytic Converter. Is it a full replacement or is there a cheaper repair. Only found info on a PO 430 error on here.

Thanks for the help.

Check to make sure the no holes in the Y-pipe and no leaks where the converter bolts to the Y- pipe. It's a very common error code but does not always mean the converter is bad.

I found Rock auto has the catalytic converter for under $160 plus shipping. its the install that will require a lift for convenience.

I just installed two catalytic converters by just jacking up the front and using jack stands. It was harder and the leverage isn't optimal but it was a relatively easy job.

Worth doing if you have the long breaker 1/2" or 3/8" bars.

Its the angles for leverage, the catalytic converters were reasonable and work fine. the 4 needed oem gaskets were expensive and work well.
