trunk light switch
tree branch fell, damaged trunk lid. Lid replaced. Now when lid is open, light comes on, but if lid goes fully open light goes off. Then when closing lid, light comes on again, then off when closed completely. However, if car doors are locked, this activates alarm.
I assumed there would be a mercury switch somewhere on lid, that could be adjusted so light remains on even when lid is fully open. However, removing entire inner lid surface, revealed no such adjustable switch. As far as I can tell, the switch is internally part of the locking mechanism and I don't see any ability to make angle adjustments.
Is there a way to adjust the angles of when the lid turns on the light to make sure it does not turn light off again when fully open?
Thanks, Larry
