chips/discoloration @ Nav screen trim & buttons
Looking at an 05 with Sport! 86K miles, one owner. Has chips/scratches on the trim below the nav screen, and discoloration on some of the nav buttons. Maybe the PO used some sort of hand lotion that bothered the buttons, but what about the chips?? I've seen bad chips on some cars and no chips on others. Did the PO have a ring on every finger and rest their knuckles on the trim every time they pushed a button with their greasy fingers?
Really though, what have we done to fix this sort of thing? The trim is ~$400. The buttons are part of the $5K screen.

If you search, some have repainted the nav bezel. It is far beyond my skill level but search and you will find posts that document their work. My suggestion is to look on ebay and try to find some parts in better condition.

. I've also noticed many of the cars I've viewed have discolored trim around the nav which turns me off. How was I ever able to find my 01 that had flawless trim? Just lucky I guess. I'd pay anything within reason to correct the flawed trim.
