After driving a 2003 LS430 for a number of years, I purchased a 2005 LS430 UL model. The driver's seat on the 2005 does not go back as far as the 2003 model. I noticed that the rails on which the seat travels in the 2003 extends further back (in the rear passenger foot area) than the 2005 does. Is there an adjustment that I am missing or is there any way to move the rails so the seat goes back further?

 

That's what I was thinking also but could not figure why I felt so close to the steering wheel. It must have something to do with the rear reclining seats.

 

Thank you for your observation. My dilemma is that I am fairly tall and rarely have rear-seat passengers. I would much rather have a front seat that we further back then reclining rear seats.

 

i know for a fact that the 04-06 ul seats are super sturdy, they have more of a thicker leather material to them.
