Default decided to order the motor mounts

qty 2 12361-50170. I'll shop for the tranny mount but the prices have gone up, used to be $65, now the best I can find is $76.41. I actually won't do them anytime soon, within 12 mos. maybe? So I hope the price doesn't drop. My reasoning was I had a $75 PayPal gift code, and then there was an add'l $15 off a $75+ order, expiring tonight at 23:00 EST. The net was $125.xx for the two OEM motor mounts after $90 off....price had gone up $5 and change, but the $15 offsets it....they list for $172.15 each, so it's a fair price....

if you search this on eBay, it's $215.53 a pair....I dunno why they start out with 12, let them sell or not or relist, not sure what a seller's strategy is...the price used to be $210....

When I open eBay, there seem to be offers that appear in a window. So when I saw the $15 and it had 2 hours left, I said why not, my brother gave me a $75 gift card so let's order them now....

Yeah, just did the same thing. I bought the engine mounts and the rear mount. I'll be tackling those and the rear LCA bushings in a month or so when I have some vacation time. Plan on an afternoon to swap out the engine mounts, Pulling them out is like playing Tetris...

Cool, I don't think I really need them right now, but since the car is 11 y.o., and I plan on keeping forever, it is a wear item so why not stock the part if it seems the price is good (the $15 got me to pull the trigger)....part of me hates to "invent" things to fix, but again, it is something that has to be done eventually....

Kit; post 6 pretty much sums it up.

11 year old car, keeping it forever, wear item, price was right, have to be replaced eventually.

I'm doing mine because I have 149K on the car and I drive 700 miles a week or so. I'm starting to feel slight vibrations in the wheel @idle and these are 15 year old rubber parts we're talking about.. My biggest gripe is that my other LS is a 2005 with 50K on it and it's as tight as can be. Really night and day difference between the 2 cars, and I'd like to get the '01 as close to that feeling as possible..

The price of the rear/tranny has gone up yet again, and is no cheaper on eBay than an online dealer....funny, $85. I'm out to save money, not spend more, knowing that it was $65 when I first watched it, means nein danke. I will wait!

Thanks. I replaced them on my '97 LS400 at about 125k. I was feeling a little vibration at times in the steering wheel. The mounts looked ok but feel apart once they were removed. The replacements eliminated the vibration and restored the smooth ride.
