Default car seems ok in snow

1 mo old Xice 3's on all corners. Not a huge amount, but on side streets, prolly 2" of packed stuff. Car does fishtail, but I think it will be fine in heavier stuff.

imho the key is do not get overconfident. Even yesterday, a AWD car was off the road, and I think we may have gotten 1" that had already been cleared. Ol' man winter is no joke..

edit the video at the bottom of this page helps to put it in persepctive

Well remember you don't have AWD and not even a Limited Slip Diff. That can mean one wheel traction only.

They do just fine. Plenty of threads on this already.

Ive had the car out in everything from an inch or two up to 8 inches of snow on 18 wheels with stock dunlop all seasons with no issues. Later switched to Michelin Premier AS that made it even better.

I'll never know what its like to drive an LS430 in snow because in 30 or 40 years it has snowed only once where I live, and that was about all 20 minutes worth of light snow and then it returned to a crappy winter's morning

haha that's what someone told me about my 335, since limited slip is reserved for the M cars. He said this is nice, but too bad you have "one wheel drive." That's an interesting device which seems to separate men from boys. The bean counters likely say why install this when 90% of folks don't even know if their car is driven by which axle (with MB and BMW moving to FWD platforms, this is the excuse, not cost-cutting--no lie, BMW said that about the X1)

5/8 Blizzaks and an icy commute back home today - not a single complaint about this car and it's handling in snow. Chose single lane roads to escape the bumper to bumper commute traffic and the car did not display any poor characteristics of a typical RWD car.

Seeing as this is my winter vehicle - I have no choice but to use it to commute in and thankful that it is very predictable in how it drives in these wintry conditions.
