Default Car shudders when going into drive or reverse

When shifting out of park and into either Drive or Reverse, is it normal for the car to creak/moan and do a slight lurch or shudder? 06 LS430 with 52k miles. Just had 60k service done with transmission drain and fill. Shifts are smooth and seamless. It's only when putting it into gear that it isn't the same level of smoothness.

you may have a worn transmission mount.they are easy to replace and not to expensive.

Thanks, jimbosr1, I'll have my mechanic look at it the next time I have it in.

I absolutely love this car but find myself nitpicking over details that I would ignore or accept as normal in previous cars (Sienna, Tundra, Sequoia, ES300).

these cars are that way, there are so good its hard to find fault.
the only way to check the mount is to remove it and see if its shot.you might as well put a new one in there if you remove the old one.

I noticed today that the car doesn't jerk when going into reverse or drive as long as I step pretty firmly on the brake. Guess I wasn't on the brakes hard enough before when moving the shifter.
