bushings, mounts, road noise etc
new to me 06 with 121k miles....17/18" factory wheels ?
some weird noises over rough pavement. LCA bushings were shot so I just had those replaced.
i'd say 90% better but still not as smooth or quiet as my old mercedes.
any other rubber i should be looking to replacing, mounts, strut mounts ?
getting some very minor rumbling from rear over bumps.
not sure if these michelins are end of life and are noisy also
tks

Usually,, other than clunks and metallic noises when parking, turning, and going over bumps, the tires make the most disturbance in our cars if are incorrect or worn. MY lower control arm bushings have been shot since I purchased my car 6 years ago and don't make any noise.

Only if worn. I changed my struts (not mounts) after 124,000 miles, to eliminate an annoying noise. Sway bar links and bushings origninal. Front end is tight. I live in Florida... maybe that helps?

As far as i know the strut mounts are rubber on all four corners. About noise from the rear, i would check those mounts or the struts themselves, sway bar links and bushings. You can give the control arms back there a looking over also. Wouldn't hurt. The rear is not as intricate as the front due to no steering components so if there is noise i would put my money on mounts, struts, or SB parts.

I always start with sway bar bushings, followed by the links. I just find that they are the culprit so often that it's cheap insurance to do them. The noise from the sway bar bushings has a way of traveling up through the subframe into the passenger compartment...thump thump thump. Grab the sway bar as close to the bushing as possible and push up and down, any movement between that bushing is bad. Sometimes I'll use a pry bar instead of my hand, same deal.
