Default Mark Levinson Audio System

i have a 2005 LS430.

note: i uploaded an excerpt from a lexus ls430 manual on the audio.

i removed my stereo (tape died, cd died, thought i could replace radio).

once the radio is removed the air and nav reports: external system not connected.

at this point i have bare wires.

there were two harness' that plugged in to the back of the radio.

i have uploaded pictures to show what i have described.

wires have incremental bands:

-------------------||---||------------------||---||---
-------------------||---||------------------||---||---

yellow with incremental grey bands
yellow with incremental brown bands:

green with incremental grey bands

black with incremental grey bands

red with incremental grey bands

white with incremental grey bands
white with incremental brown bands AND green line running the length of the wire:

-----------------||---||-------------------||---||---
------green------||---||------line---------||---||--- etc
-----------------||---||-------------------||---||---

an encased group:

grey casing, foil lining

contains following solid colors:

red
green
black
white
bare wire (silver metal)

two of these.

can anyone tell me how i can wire these to enable the air and nav?

thanks.

If you are seriously looking for help, you would be wise to post the year of your car, audio system package, and several good pictures that show exactly what you are talking about.

No one is going to guess at what year your car is and what options it has, and then try to decipher your text description of random partially-damaged wire clusters..

I was just experimenting with this, basically the idea is that the devices communicate via some kind of digital bus, and it should be possible to unplug the radio and bypass the bus by shorting some pins on those connectors - or rather, connecting them via a resistor.
I was unable to make it work though, so I ended up ditching the cd and the tape etc. and connecting just the board to preserve AC controls nav and stuff
