Default Weird hesitation feeling occasionally in reverse

I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this, or will be able to decipher my explanation, however I'm guessing it's the rear motor mount on my 01'. When I'm backing out of a parking spot, the car feels like it's slightly missing. Kind of a surging/hesitation feeling. I put it in reverse, with my foot on the brake, and as I release the pedal, it sometimes feels like it's missing as it's moving. Driving forward the car runs like new, no noises, no lights, nothing..

My 05' doesn't do it, so again, I'm guessing it's the motor mount.

My 2002 has done that since I bought it in 2007. 182k miles on it now and still does it. Never figured out the cause.

Yeah, it's just weird. My wife and I went to the grocery store a few days ago and we were backing out of the spot, and the car is doing that hesitation thing, and SHE even noticed and said "what's wrong with your car?"

Wish I knew for certain what it was..

I've replaced so many parts on my car and never once remember that symptom disappearing for long.
