Default LS430 - Bumpers Disintegrating - Advice

Hello,

This winter I noticed the following damage on my front and rear bumpers:

The first one is on the front driver's side near the wheel well. It looks like one of the clips has broken, allowing the bumper to drop slightly.

The second is a big crack on the rear bumper - again driver's side near the wheel well.

I don't know where this came from, but it bugs me to see an otherwise beautiful car with
bumpers cracked and coming apart.

Can this be fixed DiY? How much do you think this would run at a shop? Would it be better to buy new bumpers, paint them and install them?

Any advice as to how to proceed would be appreciated.

Those don't look right. Perhaps there is body alignment issue. Has the car been involved in an accident or the bumpers were worked on or damaged before?

I bought the car used in 2013 and had it inspected by a pretty thorough inspector. He found a few mechanical things that were fixed, but said it hadn't been in any accidents that he could see. I checked CarProof and it comes up clean. There are some scrapes on the front and rear bumpers and some of the parking sensors on the rear look a bit damaged. Maybe it had a low speed impact that wasn't reported?

Apart from the bumper issues the rest of the car is great. Now I am left to pick up the pieces.

Is this something I could repair myself or is it better to take it to a shop?

For the front bumper, that side tab easily breaks if you snag the bottom lip of the bumper on a parking curb while backing out of a spot. It looks like the tab isn't fully snapped off the bumper though so it may be easily repairable.
