height sensors
Question came up regarding the height sensors
The Bilstein B14 coilover kit has adjustable height feature.
On the forum it is advised to leave the heightsensors untouched.
What happens when I lower the car with the Bilsteins?
How do the height sensors "react"?
Blinkers on the dash?

Hey man. You really don't need to make a new thread when continueing the same topic.
The height sensors need to see a certain signal range. If they are out of this range it will produce an error. All that one would need to do is to adjust this range to be back into spec. The sensors are adjustable.

I really enjoyed this multi page post that I found in the FAQ section. A lot of great information gathered up from the many years this website has been up. Thank you to all who contributed to the above post.

I read this thread many times
It starts out nice, then goes in generalities.
No word if you have to change the tophats, what exactly happens with the actuators, what (if any) do you have to do with the UL backseat, which (if any) wires do disconnect.
No word on the height sensors and what to do with them or how to adjust.
What do you do with the air supply lines? Just cut them? Do you have to seal them or remove them from the compressor?
There is nobody here that has done anything with an airsuspension conversion. Either steel to steel or tweaking their air. I personally do not have the skill and to let a shop "experiment" with it at $140/hr is not my taste either.

I would recommend leaving the sensors alone. When my mechanic installed my coilovers he found one of my sensors wasn't even hooked up and took it out. Ever since then I've had the "Height Hi" warning on my dash. I think the only way I can get it to go away is if I reinstall the height sensor.

There is not a lot of information but just follow the advice of everyone.
Disconnect the negative on the battery before you start the install.
Remove fuse for compressor or disconnect the compressor. It's located in the passenger wheel well.
Leave the height sensors alone. If you get an error try adjusting them. It's self explanatory how to adjust them once you see them.
