Default After market stereo install

So im currently looking to upgrade the stereo in my 02 LS430. I want to know what everyone used on their's to utilize steering wheel control and factory amp. I know Beat-sonic has something but I dont know why it would be $290 for just a harness. So if you know another option please let me know.
I dont plan on upgrading the speakers just yet. OEM ones sound pretty good to me for now.

What does everyone recommend for double DIN units? Thank you for the input.

Does your car have factory nav?

Also there is no steering wheel control once you go aftermarket. Only thing you can kind of control with the steering if you keep use of the factory amp is the volume. No one makes an interface for the steering wheel controls for use with aftermarket HU.

I do not have Nav. Volume is all I really care about still being able to control. So what is the the use of the harnes that beatsonic offers? If theres nothing worth controlling whats with the $290 price?!!

That's incorrect from Hilo.

The Vaistech allows you to control everything media related from the steering wheel buttons. From changing the volume to skipping songs. To changing the source of the input.

king you are talking about an add on unit that is controlled and works with the stock head unit. What the op is asking about is installing an aftermarket double din head unit. And NO there is no control beyond volume with an aftermarket head unit and this is only with the use of the factory amp.
