Default dome light

hello
I have a couple questions, LS430 , 2005 , when you open the door the dome light illuminates one light , all thou there are three bulbs in there , I think the other two are map lights, is there any way to make all three light up when the door is ajar?
Also the seat belt adjuster switch , does that illuminate?

and last question my 05 ls430 just turned 102.000 miles (well taken care of) do I need to replace the timing belt immediately or can I wait a little bit? Car starts perfectly, idle smooth, etc
thanks a bunch

I will comment on the belt.
The recommendation is 100,000 but that is a safe number, you can drive more but you can't exactly now how far it will go.
Personally since this is an eterferance engine I would not drive more than 120k on it. The belt set withe pump & radiator, if you what to do the hole thing is cheaper than a used engine.
And if not mistaken the kit is 100 to 200 $ radiator is 100. can't comment on a mechanic doing it cost use but I images the hole thing is around 500.
How mutch a used engine, and what can you know about it.
My advise, don't take my words as expert it is what I learned from this forum + experience. I don't leave in the states so pls feel free to correct me.

I would do it just based on the age of the car. If you are in a temperate climate it may be ok though. Lots of folks talk about the heroic strength of the belts.

Default timing belt replace

well , I took in my 05 ls430 , 102.000 miles it and had the timing belt replaced, tensors, water pump, pulleys etc , over $900.00 with labor
omg , when he showed me the old belt , I was shocked , not a crack or twist in it , no fraying on the edges , nothing wrong with it , looked brand new , could of waited till at least 150.000 miles , that 90-100,000 miles recommendation is terrible , oh well im all set now for awhile

It's not only the belt. Any of the parts may fail tensioner, pulley, pump. So as an assurance I would not run mor than 120k.
It's good that you replaced now you have at leat another 120k of pice of mind.
Just a note usually it's recommended to replace the radiator as the new pump provides more prussuer now, and faile shortly after.
That is what I have read on the forum.
