The most Lexus and Toyota cars with AC sensors gave solar sensor errors all the time. Mine too. But when the sun is shining into solar sensors errors do not appear.

Since when you have this problem? Maybe in AC ECU there is enable AC mode which accept higher evaporator temperature.

This behaviour is by design. The testing procedure is to shine a bright light into the front and rear sensors before reading for codes. If you get errors when performing the test correctly, then you know the sensor is bad. If you do not perform the test correctly, you can't expect a correct result.

It would be silly for a system to say a light sensor is working when it is not exposed to any light.
