Has anyone taken it completely apart before? I just want to do it to paint it black kinda tired of looking at a grey box in a black interior, or where have you guys hidden your boxes still dont know where to put it thats accessible

You should be fine taking it apart like any other electronic device. Doesn't seem to be that fragile.
