Default upgrade to none nav to a stock nav ?

My radio display doesn't work on my ls430 and I found a 02 ls430 radio with nav for a few hundred.. how tricky is it to install a stock ls430 nav into an base model ls430? is it a plug and play or do I need to buy a nav box for the trunk and do an install & update on the system? thanks

Very tricky. You basically need all of the interior wiring from a nav-equipped vehicle. On a side note, you can get replacement LCDs for the radio from pacparts.com for ~$80, just search by the model number on the sticker on the radio (probably FX-MG9006ZT).

Better off getting a aftermarket navigation....it's outdated. You have more options in my opinion.i have navigation and I'm planning on getting a non navigation so I can install my head unit I have with a 15 gig hard drive. I have a ipod hook up as well but the sound quality ain't the same as cd.
