I agree, the new wheels look great. The straight spoke lines work well with the straight lines of the grill, and the straight lines of the chrome trim.

However, I think one reason the new wheels look better is because the new ones are chrome, and the old ones are satin silver. Black cars – especially large, luxury cars that are polished and waxed – make powerful statements. When everything is done right, they can’t be beat. However, they also bring attention to whatever details that are not right. And since the car already has lots of chrome and/or polished silver details, the satin silver wheels look out of place.

I do like the old wheels, just not on a high gloss black car. I think they would look good on a silver metallic car like mine. (BTW, I hate the bright chrome rims I currently have on my car. Although, i think they would look good on a gloss black car).

P.S. It is also nice to see the photographs of your car in various settings. An interesting combination of new technology and old world elegance. please keep posting.

I have recently upgraded navigation dvd reader. I installed reader from postlift. Everything works plug&play. Only thing which is not compatible is speed signal. On postlift this signal is connected to another pin, so I can use navigation during drive

Owczar, I like what you've done and are doing...as nice as our cars are from the factory, it's really great to see the different twists that we put on them to make them 'ours' without taking away from their 'Lexus goodness'

Great job, keep up the good work

Thanks VerbalKent

On last Friday I had a little issue. Air condition has stoped to work. I found that the refrigerant pipe was empty. There were leak on rear air cordination pipe (5/16 inch-8mm pipe under fuel tank).

I am preparing to repair this issue. I bought 1 meter of aluminium pipe, spring to pipe bending and lokring connectors.
To be precise I bought products of vulkan lokring- company which specialized in air condition repair kits and tools.
Aluminium tubes:

Straight connectors:

Lokprepr- something like glue:

And two oem toyota o-rings.

I am going to replace part of broken pipe from rear passenger seat to rear expansion valve.

Meanwhile I drove my friends for their wedding. So there are some better quality photos on new wheels:

Nice car and great mods done!
Can you tell me a little bit about how you integrated the backup camera to the navigation screen?
I also have an '03 UL and am very interested in this mod.

Thanks

To connect aftermarket backup camera you need to use AV to RGBs converter and 4 relays to switching signal from navi RGBs to converter RGBs signal.

I bought DIY converter in Poland, and make connection to four mini relays (cost about 35$).
I used the cheapest way to connect camera but there are other ways- example navtool.

Belov some photos from installation.

Recently I repaired subwoofer.

Meanwhile there were a problem with Bank2 sensor 1 heater circuit. I replaced it with universal Denso DOX-0109

Looking good. You've done some serious mods to your car and they all look professionally done.

BTW,

A Gallon of
LPG ~ 91k Btu
Gasoline ~ 124k Btu
Diesel ~ 139k Btu

You should get about 30% less fuel economy when running on LPG. Of course if the theory is correct to what actually happens. I wouldn't consider it here in the US unless LPG is at least half the cost of Gas. More fillups and less convenience.

Thanks

You are right LPG consumption is greater about 25-30%, but with actual price it is half less to pay.
Current price of LPG in Poland is about 60% lower than petrol price.

I have just replaced windshield on my LS. I went with OEM windshield and top moulding.
There was a little chip on windshield without any possibility to repair.

Heating pipe looks as follow:
