Although there hasn't been any mention of the 2001-2006 LS430s being affected by the latest massive airbag recall.......has anyone heard anything different?

 

Toyota: 877,000 total number of potentially affected vehicles
2002 – 2005 Lexus SC
2002 – 2005 Toyota Corolla
2003 – 2005 Toyota Corolla Matrix
2002 – 2005 Toyota Sequoia
2003 – 2005 Toyota Tundra

You can look your vehicles up by VIN; nothing came back for my 2005 LS430

 

Yep so far no LS430s on the list. Hopefully the list won't grow. One daughter lives out in California and her 2005 Civic was on the list. She made appt with local Honda dealer to have it fixed. Supposedly the service writer told her that only non California civics were on the recall list so she would be first civic they worked on for this recall.

 

Thank you for the link DaveGS4... just checked all my Lexus and Toyotas and nothing is on the list.

 

Hopefully they have all the parts needed to do the repair... It would be interesting to know what exactly needs to be replaced and how it is done. I'm not sure if many dealers are talented enough to do a major repair without screwing something up.
