def put the car on jack stands so the tires wont get rotted. also dont keep a full tank of gas in there..maybe under 1/4 so when u come back u can fill it up with a fresh tank and itll mix in with the old gas.
hmmm, this is exactly the wrong thing to do, on both counts. Whether the tires are on the ground or suspended has no effect whatsoever on the speed the tires might rot, unless i guess the tires were sitting in a pool of water.
Secondly, you want to fill the gas tank as high as you possibly can, and treat the fuel with any of the available fuel stabilizers. This keeps the fuel from deteriorating at least for a period of time. A full tank also leaves less empty space in the tank, which leads to less water condensing in the tank as the air heats and cools around it.
I have regularly left my cars for 1 yr stretches in a covered garage---full tank with Stabil fuel additive, tires pumped to around 50 lbs, battery disconnected, and not on jack stands. Never a problem of any kind.
