This, I believe, and hope for. Because what it would mean is I don't have any car worries for a long time, as I'm gonna come up on 103k. My buddy just had car trouble with his Navigator L (think it has 160k), and it's just a pita that most of us want to avoid. I told him get the new '18 with the twin turbo V6 and he said he burst out laughing (list price was $101k)

Yeah, my goal is 300K, which I know the engine will reach. At some point here in the next 20,000 miles or so, I'm sure I'll have to repair something on this car. I've put 80K miles on it with out so much as a fuse blowing... No repairs at all.

Wouldn't have any other car.

Do you have a picture of what you used and how it came out?

Today i picked up some OEM factory wipers and ordered the refoam kit for the sub woofer. Will repair that next week.

Default Hood Struts

Had her parked with her back to the wind. Went under the hood for an inspection/wipedown and happened to just catch the hood before it tried a decapitation maneuver...

Installed some "strong arms" and sheese...what a difference. I had the original Tokinos? and really never even cared that the hood was a might heavy. Now it pops up and with a one finger lift, raises and stays there.

Trunk next. I really did not think these things did much. Wrong.

Ordered front and rear brakes. The rear brakes had 47k miles on them and they were worn down to just touching the rubber on the sensor.
The front brakes have 32k miles on them,I removed one pad and it was only down 2 or 3mm's from the new pads. Will reinspect in 12k miles.
Love working on this car!

Hit 193K today on the way home. I can taste 200,000 miles now...

Also installed summer tires on the 2005. We'll see how long these last...

I added new Akebono front and rear ceramic brake pads, new drilled and slotted rotors, painted calipers and added Lexus logo stickers and new stop tech braided steel brake lines. Unfortunately the brakes are still soft and mushy. I did the same changes on my 2002 GS300 and the brakes were very firm. We bled them ourselves and then I had a shop bleed them and it was a little better.
were did you get the drilled and slotted rotors from?

Replaced light bulbs on PWR / SNOW transmission mode selector switch and the Heated / Ventilated seat controls. While the console was apart, I cleaned switches and edges along console that are not otherwise reachable. I noticed there were several clips and screws missing for the console pieces, which i assume were dropped / lost / broken by the PO during install of the auxiliary input. I will place an order for those when i get close to installing a Satellite radio kit and more modern iPod integration. Approaching a year of ownership of the car this coming Memorial Day...and we have driven about 27k miles during that time; total miles are 167k.
