Default 2003 LS430 low speed suspension noise.

2003 LS430 BASE

High speed I could drive over a pothole and feel nothing but at low speeds it sounds like I have a blown shock over even the most mundane of bumps. However there's no other symptoms of a blown shock maybe a dampening issue but I just bought the car used and I'm not finding a lot of data on this issue.

I'll be doing some exploratory surgery on the front suspension this weekend but any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I had similar symptoms. I ended up replacing the front struts and strut mounts with KYB. Problem Solved! If you plan on keeping the car for a while it's a good investment especially for a 10+ year old car. I still do have issues with my steering column making clicking noise and still have not found a fix.

Was there anything obviously worn or broken when you took the parts out something I might look for when I'm checking it out?

Did the shock appear blown when you pulled it off were you able to compress it by hand?
