Looking for a LS340 Trailer Hitch/Tow Bar
Okay, this is not a question of whether or not I should be putting a hitch on the car.
I had one on my LS400 and it was the best accessory I had for the car. (Was great to be able to run a small trailer around foe errands and help a buddy out here and there)
Anyway, I have been trying to track down this trailer hitch. Lexus Part Number: PZ408-F1550-00
I have contacted a couple local dealers and have been told that they can't find that part number in any of their systems. I contacted Lexus Coperate Directly and was given the run around. (They said that "It's an incorrect part number and they cannot give out part numbers. The dealer does that") Of course this felt like bull***** and I felt ashamed that Lexus corperate should fall a distant second Ford with respect to knowledge of product that they offered. Seems to me that any loads are distributed better than other hitches.
Any help in finding a way to get one of these would be greatly appreciated. It's a much better solution that the other hitches that you can get via the aftermarket. It's just so beautifully put together AND it hides under the bumper. There's a LOT more involved ad far as installing it is concerned, if you look at the instructions, but it seems well woth it to me.
(And yes, I know it's a Eurospec ball But I have the equopment to modify the crossbar and weld a 2" receiver on it to make it compatible with american hitches)
