Default Wheels for Snow Tires - 2003

I recently purchased a 2003 LS430 with beautiful 17" chrome wheels. Living in Wisconsin, I want to get a 2nd set of wheels for snow tires. I have found for sale on Craigslist a set of Mille Miglia Bello 16" with Blizzaks from a 2001 LS430 and a set of Lexus 17" with Blizzaks from a 2006 Lexus GS300. Will either of these have fitment problems on my car? Is there brake caliper difference between the 2001 and 2003 LS? Thanks for your guidance.

As a new member to CL, I have really enjoyed doing research on the forums. I always try searching the forums first before posting.

The LS has large calipers that most 17" wheels will not fit without using spacers on the front. The wheels that were on the 2001 LS should fit fine. The wheels off a GS will not fit without using spacers.

Even the 16" you should ask if spacers were used on the LS. I can't see many 16" besides the OEM that would fit the LS.

GS 3 rims should fit without spacers. I have 17" GS 3 2008 rims on my car, fits without spacers. However, you might want spacers for aesthetics purposes since GS rims will sit deeper into the wheel wells.

How about 18" wheels from a SC430? Looks to have the same offset and bolt pattern as the LS 430.

hey cheesehead,

I looked into that also and I think the rim size if defferent on the SC and I would have had to put adapters or spacers or something that puts stress on the hub.

There was a set of beat up 17 chromes in the CL classifed section. They are in MKE
