I just Shin Etsu'd my door seals

Just a FYI. I used gummi-pflege I purchased on amazon and it worked great. I'm normally skeptical when people say it works wonders. Well, I used it on all my rubber seals and the wind noise has minimized by at least 60%!

ordered a tube of this off Amazon, some car dealership was the supplier. I applied it yesterday to my Toyota Sienna van, took around 20 minutes to do all the rubber seals. My intent was simply routine maintenance of the seals, not really trying to fix a specific problem. However, I was absolutely shocked at how much it quieted the interior down...no more small squeeks or creeks or other miscellenous sounds...i was really surprised but thinking about now, it makes sense. The area where the doors meet the body of the car has to be an area of maximum flex, and therefore sound...so why not lube it and cut the sound.....anyway, thanks to those that suggested it....easy, cheap maintenance that makes a huge difference in driving pleasure. This afternoon I'll use in on the LS seals.

I use the Shin-Etzu and it works great for me. I only put it on the black facing top of the door and it works very well. A tube is about $12 at any Honda dealer, sometimes they have to order it but it only takes a few days.

Hey guys,
Just put on my second treatment after about a year. Fantastic stuff. You are missing out if you are not conditioning your weather stripping. This is also important to help prevent leaks in the trunk that can destroy your ML amp. Yes sir. That's where the leaks usually come from. Old cracked seals.

Ok, been thinking about what to use for this, never treated my seals and getting a little wind noise on my 2001 LS430....
I've heard Vaseline does a great job for this too. Does this stuff (Shin-Etzu) moisturize the seals or is it just a lube ? Logic would tell me once the rubber starts to get hard(and would cause it to crack), just greasing it up is just a band aid, but, actually treading it for the long term will make it last..
So, everyone seems to say this Shin-Etzu/part number# 08798-9013 seems to work the best. Where is the best price on this stuff, Saw one place with it for $12 change but, it was $10.22 for ground shipping.
Anyone know of a place to get this stuff for the best price, I'll give it a shot on my LS and my wife's RX...if it does work..

Don't cheap out. Get the best stuff out there. Well, the best I have ever used. It last a very long time vs other products. Wear gloves when massaging it into all your rubber seals. Works great on window tracks too. It's like a once or twice a year thing.

Yea, I grabbed it, I got it from a seller on ebay, about $1 more but, Fast and free shipping, so I will have it by the weekend(amazon tends to ship a day or two later depending on the vendor). If I get it this weekend, I will do the whole car. I drive an hour to work and for the last few weeks I have been getting a little noise from the passengers side of the car.
I will know for sure (if I get it on the weekend), if it helps. I'll edit this post with my results...

When you clean the seals, don't use harsh chemicals. Really anything with petroleum distillates. You can use a rag and bath soap bar. Some warm water. Avoid degreaser. You're going to be a happy driver.
You can also use this product the same way on your refrigerator seals.

Two thumbs way up for shin etzu! I've been using it for a couple of years and just realized that it's time to do them again. One of the disadvantages of having such a quiet car is that you can hear every little sound...
