I cracked my passenger side fog light housing..Sewell has them for $291 apiece but I found some aftermarket examples for far less on ebay. Problem is, the picture looks off. My car is an 05 and these just don't have the right shape.

Anyone have any experience replacing these assemblies?

 

If that's even for a LS, it would be the '01-03 LS430 with the tear drop fog lights. An '04-05 is more slender rectangular. This is wrong description.

 

I looked at the link to the fog light you provided and yes that is in fact the correct one! That is an 04-06 one. Some people may think it's wrong but it's correct. For some reason, the foglight on the 04-06 has a large lens area which at first glance looks similar to the 01-03 but when fitted, only half of the lens actually shows on the bumper, so when it's fitted it appears slimmer, but when removed you see the whole shape of the assembly. If you look carefully at the images on the link you provided and image a line cutting horizontally across the lens you can see what it looks like when fitted on the 04-06.

Don't believe me? - go and look at your 04-06 foglight on your car and look carefully at the top of the fog light between the joins and you will see that the lens actually goes up higher behind the bumper. Weird I know, but true!
