2004 with anoying clunk under when hitting bumps
Hi guys,
I have a 2004 which makes a sound of metal hitting metal every time I hit a bump. With the great noise isolation of this car I can't figure where it comes from (front-back left-right).
Are there typical places (suspension/ direction/ exhaust) to start looking for a problem like that under a 10 years old LS-430?
I told my mechanic numerous times but all he does it lifting the car and trying to shake things... of course with the weight of this puppy nothing moves. He's clueless.
The car had low mileage when I got it and I suspect it still has the original everything under. How many years of LS430 weight the original bushings can endure?
Any help appreciated. I'm on my 4th years with this car and getting rid of this unwanted noise may restore the love I originally had for it. I don't want to divorce her because she snores...
Thanks

Thanks - I'll have a look at it.
But this car never seen a winter and has no apparent rust even on the exhaust line (except for the down pipes near the engine)
