Default 04 with ML packages

Hi. I'm brand new to CL but this seems to be the best place to get some advice.

Looking at 2 '04 LS430's with 87k. One white other silver.

Both have ML option.

Any major things to look out for on inspection. Will ask about the 90k service (which hasn't been done) per VIN lookup on lexus owner's site. Both have pretty long and complete service records.

Highlights for #1. (listed for 15k)

70k replaced fuel pump and televison camera R&R.

Highlight for #2 (listed for 15.3k)
85k replaced front lower control arm bushings, replaced both front bearings/hubs, replace nav ecu and disc, replaced left front door speaker
36k replaced instrument pnl cup holder
24k replaced nav multi display R&R and replaced steering shaft universal joint assembly
19k replaced AC filter reset light
10k performed 4LB uel pump unit campaign and 4LC trans unit replacement campaign

Both have been in lexus dealers across SoCal and oil changes/brakes have been at dealers.

Any recommendations? Called a couple of dealers and trusted shops from CL for 90k service pricing from 650 to 1700 (which includes a $300 drive belt bracket).

Any recommended places for a prepurchase inspection in the South OC area?

Recommend getting inspection then negotiate to take price down or negotiate then inspect and then negotiate again? Thinking of starting with 12.5 to 13 for a low offer. Any thoughts?

Again, thanks.

I agree that the first one has obviously had less issues thus far, but some of the items that were replaced especially at the 85K mile mark on car #2 will most likely have to get done in the future so if anything I would look at it as a maintenance item you don't have to worry about on car #2. Personally, I would go with whichever one you can negotiate a better deal on. And of course budget for the 90K service soon.
